Reliance Bank Officially Breaks Ground In Des Peres

ST. LOUIS, July 27, 2017 – Today Thomas H. Brouster Sr., Chairman & CEO of Reliance Bank along with local city officials, including City Administrator, Douglas Harms, came together for a groundbreaking ceremony for a re-design of the Reliance Bank branch located at 11781 Manchester Road in Des Peres. The re-design includes office space for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Select Properties. The branch remains open during the project and is scheduled to be completed in the Fall of 2017.

Mr. Brouster opened the groundbreaking ceremony by stating “We are excited about the redesign of our branch and our partnership with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Select Properties and we are very pleased to be part of the great Des Peres community. Our first branch, which included our headquarters, opened in 1999 right here in Des Peres. Therefore, this community is very special to us.”
Reliance Bank continues the trend of sub-leasing space to other businesses. “One of the reasons is to increase foot traffic, which is a benefit for both businesses. Reliance Bank strives for superior customer service and convenience and we are excited to serve our current and future customers from a new and improved branch” Mr. Brouster continued to say.
Maryann Vitale Alles, President & CEO of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Select Properties stated “We are very excited about the partnership with Reliance Bank and the shared network opportunity this presents for both businesses. We have been a Reliance Bank customer since the start of BHHS Select Properties in 2002. Our Sales Associates are thrilled to relocate to the new location which is in the heart of our Des Peres and Kirkwood markets.”
Reliance owns the building which consists of 7,402 square feet. The entire building will be re-designed, including the Bank lobby and Reliance Bank is pleased to announce a partnership with BHHS Select Properties who will share the building and occupy approximately half of the building space.
The branch will remain open during construction. The re-design will include a technology bar, charging center, sign-up for online banking station, 12ft x 24ft Conference & Data Center for community use, access to a Coffee bar, popcorn, Dad’s cookies, a big screen TV and full service Safe Deposit Boxes. The new 3 lane drive-thru will include a Drive-Up Teller. The same friendly faces will welcome our customers after the project completion. There will be direct access from the Reliance Bank lobby to the Berkshire HomeServices Select Properties offices.
Others in attendance of the groundbreaking included the Bank’s Executive Team and Branch Manager Donna Pequignot; Members of the Reliance Bank Legal Board, Musick Construction Company Owner, Don Musick; M&H Architects Principal, Larry Mitchell; and Rich Striler from The Rich Striler Group.
