Reliance Bank Officially Breaks Ground in Rock Hill

Rock Hill Ground Breaking

ST. LOUIS, April 7, 2017 – Today, Thomas H. Brouster Sr., Chairman & CEO of Reliance Bank along with local city officials, including Mayor of Rock Hill – Ed Mahan, came together for a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Reliance Bank branch located at 9420 Manchester Road in Rock Hill. The new branch is scheduled to open in late May of 2017.

Mr. Brouster opened the groundbreaking ceremony by stating “We are excited about having a presence in the Rock Hill community. Reliance Bank is about customer service and convenience and we can’t wait to serve our current and future customers from the Rock Hill, Webster Groves and Brentwood communities. Reliance Bank continues the trend of sub-leasing space to other businesses. One of the reasons is to increase foot traffic, which is a benefit for both businesses.”

Mr. Brouster’s remarks were followed by Mayor Mahan, “We welcome Reliance Bank to the Rock Hill community and we are very excited for this great partnership with Reliance Bank and the St. Louis Frozen Custard Factory, which has been in operation since 1998.”

Reliance leased the entire building which currently consists of 1,400 square feet. An additional 400 square feet will be constructed on the existing building; final building will consist of 1,800 square feet. Reliance Bank will occupy half of the building and is pleased to announce a partnership with St. Louis Frozen Custard Factory who will sub-lease the remaining space.

The branch will be a full service state-of-the art facility with a technology bar. Once the branch is opened, there will be a walk up ATM and later this year a drive-thru with an Interactive Video Teller Machine will be added to this location. The Bank lobby will have direct access to the St. Louis frozen Custard Factory, so customers can conduct their banking business while enjoying great tasting frozen custard. Mr. Brouster continued to say “When customers walk into any Reliance Bank branch, they smell the delicious aroma of Dad’s cookies and popcorn. This branch will have frozen custard, too. It can’t get any better than that!”

Others in attendance of the groundbreaking included the Bank’s Executive Team and future Branch Manager who is returning to the Rock Hill area, Shari Tucci; United Construction Ent. CO. of St. Louis, Inc. Owner & CEO, Barry Koenemann; Novus Companies’ President, Jonathan Browne; City Administrator, Jennifer Yackley; Alderman James Killion IV and St. Louis Frozen Custard Factory’s Owners, Don & Jennie Miller.
